At a very young age I knew I was destined for the arts. Excelling in music, sports, and art through school and having a mother that was so artfully talented helped drive me to be the artist I am today. When i was 17 I met a couple, Susan Whal and Billy Nacca who taught me the basics of glassblowing and pipe making, working with them for a year getting the basics of glass shaping and coloring. Dedicating all my waking hours seated behind my torch.
In 2000 I started working for one of the first online glass pipe retail stores, colorchanginglass.com or california colorchangers, unfortunately that company fell to the wrath of George Bush and his operation pipe dreams and operation headhunter which shutdown all online pipe stores. After this is started working on my own til I ran in to Dave DeSaddler, who learned to blow glass from Billy and was opening his new shop in Santa Rosa Ca, Home Blown Glass Santa Rosa where together we brought glassblowing for the public to view daily for 15 years. In 2013 I competed in a the champs national glass competition placing 4th out of 20 artist. In 2018 I competed again in the champs flame off, competing in the ray gun and puff puff pass division. Placing first In the ray gun division got me the invitation to the master glass competition early in 2019 where I competed against over 30 master glass artists, though i didn't place it was a great experience. Now I continue producing new products and planning to win more competitions.
